Wine grape prices are likely to remain low for some time as the Australian wine industry grapples with large vintages and faces increasing competition on world markets. ‘Last year Australian exports in the two lowest price categories accounted for 85 per cent of total wine exports. ‘There have been some shining lights, some relatively new export markets and leading this charge will undoubtedly be China where it is estimated that the total wine market will triple over the next 10 years.’.
