Citrus Australia and the Rudd Government to spruik mandarins overseas – The Hon Tony Burke MP – Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry
Citrus Australia will receive up to $109,650 from the Rudd Government to develop a national campaign for promoting Australian mandarins. Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry Tony Burke said the citrus industry is an important part of many regional economies, including in the Riverland in South Australia, Murray Valley in NSW and Victoria, the Riverina in NSW and the Central Burnett region in Queensland. The project is one of 14 to share in nearly $1.3 million from the Rudd Government to help promote Australia’s food and forest industries to domestic and export markets.
