Rudd Government supporting women and young people in agriculture – The Hon Tony Burke MP – Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry
The Rudd Government continues its support for women and young people in rural and regional areas with funding of more than $1.5 million under the Recognising Women Farmers and Next Gen Farmers grants. Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry Tony Burke announced the latest rounds of funding under the Community Networks and Capacity Building component of Australia’s Farming Future. Recognising Women Farmers and Next Gen Farmers are a part of a range of initiatives supported by the Australian Government to promote women and young leaders in rural and regional Australia.
